The History:

In Singapore, the Franciscan story began over forty years ago when some friars arrived to spread the Gospel.
About a month after their arrival, the boundaries of a newly formed parish were established, and it was named St Mary of the Angels.

By 1998, the number of parishioners had tripled and hence it became clear that the church had to be completely re-built. After close to five years of planning and building , the new church was finally ready on 2 Feb 2004.
