Description:
The successful bidding of land at Tah Ching Road, where the church is still standing, was announced in February 1966.
There was once a partnership of various denominations in the building of this church. But as time past and many had pulled out, the Lutheran Church in America (LCA) was the only one offering their full support in this project.
The Jurong Christian Church & Civic Centre was born with dual focus of evangelism and community (civic) work. It was the only church in Jurong in 1967.
There was no major change or renovation done to the church once it was built.
